BLC3 Association – Technology and Innovation<\/strong> Campus is a non-profit association, founded in 2010, based in Oliveira do Hospital. Coordinator of the WinBio project, the entity develops research and technological intensification activities of excellence, incubation of ideas and companies and support to the economic fabric. BLC3 acts nationally and internationally in strategic areas such as Biorefineries, Bioindustries and Bioproducts, with impact on the Bioeconomy and Circular Economy. It also develops local and regional activities for the implementation of policies and strategies linked to the establishment of critical mass and valorisation of endogenous resources and the territory.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

CATAA – Agri-Food Technological Support Centre<\/strong> is a centre of excellence, at national and cross-border level, in technological support to the agri-food sector, in the promotion of research and development and innovation in areas of intervention aligned with the priorities of companies. The four CATAA pilot units – meat, dairy products, olive oils and fruit and vegetables – are characterised by their functionality and versatility, with the main objective of developing and implementing new food technologies. The design and equipment of the pilot units allow experimentation with emerging technologies, process optimisation and the development of new food products, without neglecting the study of traditional processes in the food sector.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Alentejo Centre of Agricultural and Agri-Food Biotechnology (CEBAL)<\/strong> is a private, non-profit research and development unit based in the city of Beja. CEBAL develops its activity in close connection with the local economic fabric, taking into account the characteristics and potential of the region where it operates. The entity has 11 researchers with doctoral degrees in Health Sciences, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology and Biochemistry.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Founded in 2020, the Association had in its genesis the process of recognition of excellence of the national initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education. Food4Sustainability<\/strong> is a non-profit association dedicated to innovation in sustainable food production. Its concept and approach of circular production systems was developed through a collaborative process with relevant national and international stakeholders and experts as part of Building Global Innovators (BGI) collaboration with the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova (Portugal) and involved several partners from the EIT Digital, Climate KIC and EIT Food networks. The entity aims to test and implement new approaches to food production systems that can have a significant impact on CO2 mitigation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

TAGUSVALLEY – Science and Technology Park<\/strong> is a project that began in 2004, in Abrantes. The Park assumes a key role as a driving agent for innovation, entrepreneurship, knowledge and economy in the region.
