WinBio aims to promote the inland regions and their companies and products

WinBio – “Waste&Interior&Bioeconomy” aims to promote the inland regions and their companies and products, demonstrating the quality of their products through the entities of the national scientific system. This project focuses on the economic valorisation of ongoing projects and initiatives within the consortium entities in four major technological areas within the scope of the Bioeconomy: endogenous biological resources and the agri-food, forestry and aquatic sectors.

Forestry Row

Forestry Row

Valorisation of Biological Resources in multi-sector applications, of lignocellulosic matrix: BLC3 will apply its know-how in the development of bio-ingredients, green and circular molecules of high added value and bioproducts for agri-industrial and forestry applications. CECOLAB will develop circular solutions for the market in the area of forest-based biomaterials for construction, and in the area of protection of aquatic and environmental resources.

Agro-food Row

Agro-food Row

Application of analytical techniques for the agri-food sector: The various partners will work in close coordination: CATAA will be responsible for innovation, product validation and market trends; BLC3 will be responsible for raw material validation and testing and for edible and food preservation coatings; CEBAL will act at the level of chemical and biological process development and validation; TAGUSVALLEY's INOVLINEA will apply its know-how to the prototyping of innovative solutions and F4S will have a role oriented towards the sustainable crop systems strand.

Aquatic Row

Aquatic Row

Technologies and concepts of circularity in aquatic resources: F4S will have a relevant role at the level of indoor aquaponics solutions of circular typology at the level of water use and in new production solutions in this type of systems. On the other hand, BLC3 will position itself at the level of microalgal biomass production systems and use of its potential.

Endogenous Biological Resources
